    Hi Leisa,

do you mean you want the numbering printed offset?

I don’t actually know if that is possible, as each plate would have to be different, for the sequential numbering. I would have thought this process would usually be an overprint on an inkjet system.

Would love to hear how you go getting a solution for this though :)

    Hi,
Just saw your post / question.

I use a company in Adelaide. Microstick (http://www.microstick.com.au)

They do vinyl / paper / matte / gloss labels for my Hot Sauce bottles.
They offered me the option of consecutive numbered labels (for batch control purposes).. Im sure they can do what you’re after.. plus, they’re experts in ‘small run quantities’ which works for me too.

Ask for Michael, and tell him Jason Crowley from Crowley’s Hot Sauce sent you. (dont worry, I dont get any kickbacks) :)

{EDIT} – Just re-read your post.. you say No Digital..(I think they can only do the sequential on Digital) but, give them a call anyway.. see how you go.

    Hi Leisa,
if you want the labels printed offset, then the variable numbering can be done as a black overprint.
There are several processes available to produce your labels but it all depends on the quantities you require, how many colours in your artwork, how many different kinds of art, do they require die-cutting or guillotining, do they need to be on rolls or flat sheet?
Our company Stick with Us! specialise in label printing and if you wish to send us a “request for quote”, we can advise the best process and provide you with a quotation if you wish.
    Julie.

Hi AgentMail, sequential numbering is added on the press by a separate unit, not part of the cmyk process.
