    Please help?

I have some designs in mind for printing on fabric but have no skills in drawings or designs. Which do I need? An Illustrator or Graphic Designer to put my designs on “paper”/computer?

I would say Illustrator or Textile Designer. Check out AGDA.com.au for Illustrators.

What kind of designs are they – full colour, spot colour?
Are they full fabric designs (repeat) or are they are one off like on a t-shirt or similar?
If it is a full fabric design, have you worked out how the design will repeat evenly over the fabric or is that something you wish the illustrator to do?
Have you contacted a fabric manufacturer and asked how they prefer the artwork to be presented?
Will they need to be screen printed (which involves separated art) or larger run commercially printed full colour?

I am both an illustrator and designer.
I suggest you contact the fabric manufacturer first.
    They will have recommendations too.
Ask what they require and in what version.
Ask what costs are involved at their end.

After absorbing all that information, and if you are still feel happy to go ahead, then please feel welcome to contact me about drawing/converting your illustrations to print ready artwork. (Website link below.)

    Best regards
    Karen
