    Hi,
I am a graphic designer have a lease on a small commercial office. I sublet some spare offices to another business. They have moved out an owe me $950. I know I should have got a lease drawn up but didn’t so our agreement was verbal only. What can I do to get the money Im owed, if anything?

    Thank you.

    Hi Kirsty

Yes, A verbal agreement constitutes a contract under Australian law.

The biggest problem you have is proving you had an agreement with this bussiness. If you have witnesses, bills in their name or uncollected mail at that address with their name on it or any piece of evidence to prove they were sub-letting that office space from you. They have to pay.

If you need someone help, give me a ring on the number below.
