Most clients will have a pre-sale interaction with us in our experience, which gives us a change to clarify anything they may be uncertain about. We then send them a brief e-mail after sign-up welcoming them, outlining (generally) how the service works, and how they can contact their PA. Their PA then gets in touch with them to introduce themselves, and they take it from there. We also get new clients to fill out a survey as they come onboard too, so we can establish their expectations and make sure we can meet them.

We’re a consumer orientated service (although we do work with a lot of small businesses, this tends to be on a person-to-person level), however, and it appears you’re B2B so it may be a bit different for you, but you can generally assume if someone is giving you money they already know about, and trust, your business, so perhaps hold the business info for pre-sales and your website, and focus on introducing your client to the service, and establishing how your relationship is going to work instead – so the welcome pack could include details about your working hours, what your clients can use your services for, and so on.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Boost,

A Welcome pack is a good idea. It gets your relationship off on the right foot and is a good resource for future reference for your client.

Include extra information about yourself and your services, contact information and your response time, in addition to opening hours.

Add in links to website tools that you use too.

Don’t make it too long – it should be easy to read and is a great way to show off your skills in creating a document!

    Good luck.

    Michelle

    We do use one.
It’s a combination of online and pdf.
    Works real well!
