Have you ever been hit with extra charges? With TNT it’s about to get worse.
If you operate from, or you are delivering to a residential building, be very careful when selecting TNT. They are imposing heavier surcharges for residential work

    TNT are great for

    • All over Australia
    • Business to Business buildings
    • packages up to 30 kg
    • Pallets for everything over 30 kg

    They will slug you for

    • delivering to a site that looks like a residence – $5
    • Heavyweight Residential Pickup $55 if it is over 30 kg; $175 if it is over 100 kg,
    • Re-Delivery fee $20 Fee applies where an initial attempt to deliver a consignment fails and is returned to our depot for further processing requiring a subsequent delivery or customer pick-up.

By the way, Residential address’ means a home or private residence, including locations where a business is operated from the home or private residence, and/or a shipment in which the shipper has designated the delivery/pickup address as residential.

These charges and more, come into effect 7 December,

If you send a chargeable weight of 101kg from your home office to another residential type building you will pay a surcharge of $350 – $175 for the pickup and $175 for the delivery.

Chargeable weight is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight.

TNT are not chasing ecommerce or B2C work. That’s pretty obvious

If you send to or from a residence (regardless of the use of the building), you need to have options other than TNT.

Each courier has its strengths and weaknesses.

The important thing is to avoid getting slapped with unexpected surcharges
