Just wondering which websites offer free, non-watermarked photos?

I suspect there isn’t many around.

Where do you all get your photos from?
Or do you just pay for them and not be cheap like me?

Not free, but I use http://stockfresh.com/

They have a huge range of professional photos and only cost a dollar or two per picture depending on the size you are after.

I haven’t been there for years, but you can try http://www.sxc.hu/

Or if you’re happy to pay $1 per photo, this is a really great new site, run by one of the bigger, more expensive ones. http://www.dollarphotoclub.com

It’s great to see that you’re not just stealing images from Google like so many others do.

Note I’m not a designer so I don’t tend to source images

Google has a filter under “Search Tools” called usage rights. If you select “Labelled for re-use with modification”, then in theory these are images you can use for your own purposes.

Naturally Google recommends verifying this for any images found using their tools.

    Very handy thanks.

A few free stock photo resources:

Flickr is also an amazing resource for photography but you just need to make sure you check the usage rights on a case by case basis. An ‘Attribution’ license on Flickr allows you to use the images with a citation: http://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
