    Hi all.

At the moment I use Excel for my own records.

I add the products, shipping, date price etc and it works out profits etc.
Its also a good record to go back to check old orders etc.

I have been looking at POS software to use to save time.
I want something that I can add the products and then just click on them to add to the order.
This is to save time on typing etc.

I know there is plenty of POS out there but none of them seem to be able to let me adjust the total sale price.
This is something I need to be able to do easily.

I know I could discount the sale but I don’t want to have to work out the amount I need to discount on every sale.
it needs to be quick and easy.

Anyone know if any software that lets you do this?
    Any recommendations?

    Thank you =)

What has your Google research revealed about the major players?

    Cheers

    Hey Paul.

I have tried a whole bunch of them.

    Downloaded trails.
    Downloaded free ones.
Downloaded premium ones via torrent so I can try them.
    they all seem great.

Non of them let me click the total and type an amount.
    Which I understand.
But this is a feature I need, which is why I’m still using my excel spreadsheet.

I was hoping someone would know of one that has the ability to do this.

    Thanks =)

    Hi philmb,

I’m wondering how you went with this? It sounds like you have some fairly specific requirements and there’s not really a software package available to meet your needs at a suitable cost.

I probably need more context but it sounds like you need something more like a basic order/inventory management system as opposed to POS? There’s plenty available in this space. However, they’re likely going to come with a bunch of features you’re not going to use.

Have you considered a no-code solution like AirTable? It is similar to MS Excel with some really cool features and a nice UI. There is a free version available but it’s pretty affordable anyway and there are so many uses in other areas of your business.
