I have two words one I love for its meaning and one for its sound:

    simple –adjective
1.easy to understand, deal with, use
    2.not elaborate or artificial; plain
    3.not ornate or luxurious; unadorned
    4.unaffected; unassuming; modest
    5.not complicated
    6.not complex or compound
7.occurring or considered alone; mere; bare
8.free of deceit or guile; sincere; unconditional
    9.common or ordinary
    10. no grand or sophisticated; unpretentious
    11. humble or lowly

    The 2nd is:
    Shakshuka
Which has a very funny sound to it and it is also one of my favorite foods.

The word which has the appearance of being my favourite is “verisimiltude”.

I also love the elegance of “handkerchief” which sadly is reduced to “hankie” in everyday language.

    Tomorrow

This is a word for those of us who procrastinate

It is also another word which really describes when the future will be here

It is also a word every parent and grandparent uses

It is also a leap of faith

The other word I like is Today

It is alive, living, present which we can share with others

    So enjoy…………

Tomorrow – From what you’ve said, seems like I’m starting to like that word now. How about adding “future”? :)

I have three favourites that have crept into my vocab recently – disconbobulated, confuzzled and coniptions. Maybe I am using them more recently as I am a recent solo flyer :)

    Cheers,

    Hayley

If you love the English language as much as I do, you would undoubtedly have a favourite word. For me, it’s temerity, which means excessive confidence or boldness. What is yours?

Tenacious – like that cop in Les Mis – (some may call me annoying).

Preposterous – contrary to reason or common sense; utterly absurd or ridiculous; ludicrous

It is preposterous that I am still working on a Friday night!

    Snake of course …
Now being serious from a business point of view, “please”, “thank you” and “may I help you” score well, even though the last one is four words.
But my favourite words are the ones we have registered trademarks on as they identify us and no one else so in theory no one else in our business gets to use them as identifiers, no matter how popular we become!
    All the best

    For me it’s inundated.

Just sounds so much more sophisticated than busy or flat-out lol

    Another favorite word is “SCOTCH”.

Ah but that was until I found a better word “RUM” (Inner Circle).
An old friend of mine suggested I have a cap full of “RUM” in my afternoon coffee.
Says it keeps colds and flue away, so I tried it a month ago. Must admit I do seem a lot happier in the afternoons now.
