I am doing some research into School Lunches as you can tell by the question.

Without giving too much away, i am trying to get an indication of how many people still make School lunches for the kids, or do they just pay for Tuckshop everyday?

I suppose it is more of a School Lunch Habit question too, as many people do/have a wide variety of different things in regards to School lunches. So please tell me what you do or don’t do.

If they do make the lunches at home, is it something that they love doing and have the time or time management to do so?

It takes about 5 minutes, so it’s not really a time management issue, but once a weeks we let him buy it for something special.

Our school does not have a tuck shop, so we use a online food lunches sites called Classroom Crusine, which delivers the food directly to the school.

We definately don’t just buy tuck shop every day for our daughter – it would get too costly and too unhealthy for our liking. We basically pack the lunch boxes with snacks the evening before and make the sandwiches in the morning while the kids are eating brekky. We have 2 younger boys at kinder so making the 3 sandwiches takes 5-7 minutes max!!

Our school has weekly Subway delivery on one day and tuckshop/hotdogs on another day. Our daughter rarely asks for a tuck shop order, when she does we generally allow it as a treat but it would be once/month if that.

I make the school lunches (and work lunch for hubby!) in our house. Usually its a salad sandwich or a wrap and some pieces of fruit. There is a tuck shop at school but for the 5 or so minutes it takes and the control over (the majority!) of what what they are eating, its worth it.
