In response to the increase in searches for ‘inspirational videos’ on social platform Pinterest, the brand has introduced new feature for Creators and businesses to deliver brand stories and instructional and how-to videos.
The platform announced the changes via a media statement today, saying people come to Pinterest ready to try something new, which makes it an ideal platform for businesses to feature actionable and inspirational how-to videos and tutorials.
“We’ve seen a 31 per cent increase in searches for “inspirational videos” since last year. And, Pinners are 54 per cent more likely to say they’re inspired to action by videos on Pinterest compared to videos on other media platforms,” the statement read.
The new features include an improved uploader, video tab, lifetime analytics, and Pin scheduling.
Unlike other social platforms, on Pinterest, videos surface and resurface over time and don’t disappear with a feed, meaning the lifespan of a video is evergreen.
The video updates are now available for business accounts in all English-speaking countries and are starting to roll out to select Creators all over the world.
