My business has a rewards store online where users can get rewarded with gift cards and movie vouchers etc for referral their favourite businesses.
It depends on what you are seeking to do with your rewards and how your users earn and redeem those rewards.
There are quite a few legal implications which I can pass on some info to you or point you in the right direction, feel free to reach out to stevenxu@projectcred.com.au
Cheers,
StevenThank you Steven, I have sent you an email.
June 25, 2014 at 5:23 am #1166584Up::0Thanks everyone for the advice. I’ll check out LV!

Basically, you exchange it the same way you’d do AUD/USD – you tell the exchange you have 1.156 or whatever bitcoins, they say “that’s worth $AUD14”
(please note – figures totally random and made up – estimateable rate here:

Otherwise there are bitcoin ATM’s in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

I have watched their into video and it says *what* they are achieving but is pretty light on the details of *how*. Their site also didn’t provide a nice summary.I found this article to be quite good : http://www.coindesk.com/10-things-you-need-to-know-about-ripple/ . From my understanding Ripple is like Bitcoin but more targeted to transactions and conversions.
I’d be interested to know if anyone here is doing anything with it yet, feels a bit too risky for me at this stage
Thanks for your feedback!
AdamTo my knowledge it is the first decentralised asset exchange. In other words it is the web of value. Anything of value can be traded within Ripple (gold, bitcoin, usd, flowers, cows etc). Although primarily (as you stated) it will be used as a payment processor for businesses and remittance. This is because payments are instant and free (each payment costs $0.001 or something). However, the technology is still very new, so the markets are quite thin, meaning it is probably just something to watch out for in the future.
Here are some notable press releases this year

Although i see it as a temporary thing, it is interesting thinking about what the conversion is tied to – or anchored to really.
Virtual currency, i know all currency can be deemed virtual now with the times of cashless societies, although its intriguing to say the least.
Off to do some reading.. once more..

Let me know how you go. I’ve been doing a bit of research as well so I have a few sources for you if you need any help
June 13, 2014 at 12:55 pm #1166065Up::0Hello,
You can store multiple currencies in your paypal account. If you want to offer a larger selection with very minimal fees, check out http://www.ripple.com
It is a new innovative payment platform.

I know there is paypal/ banks but this would be a solution without fees (unlike paypal) and it would be very easy to implement into websites.
Eventually I would like to float these tokens. I just don’t want to start something which is illegal.
February 21, 2013 at 6:48 am #1133648Up::0Its really great to see more websites being listed. I encourage those fellow Flying Soloist who are looking for an inexpensive/ local website marketplace to list their website accordingly. Also people who are looking to start a new business, there are many great websites continuing to be available.

I guess adequate profit can be defined differently by the individual but I make around $300 on my mid-range websites when I sold websites as a hobby.
Feel free to list your websites Steve, its free (free upgrades too)! You never know how much they are worth until you list.

Did you know there is a site similar to yours?
http://www.flippa.com Australian owned and resources are huge, same owners of 99 designs.
I think there’s a guy on gum tree who’s still trying to sell his site that allows you to buy and sell websites also. Can’t remember the name though.
I have heard of people investing in domain names, hoping to catch the next wave of successful online businesses, with the hopeful entrepreneur paying good money for it. Imagine if you owned facebook.com?
Cheers,
Thank you!
Of course I was a buyer/ seller on Flippa for years but there is a lot of scams etc from international buyers which you are not protected from and the fees became outrageous. That is why I wanted a website marketplace which only caters towards an Australian audience so buyers are safer and the content is more relevant. Similar to how FS only allows sign-up to Australian IP’s.
November 12, 2012 at 12:34 am #1124021Up::0I did a trademark search on my own domain and found it has also been registered. They have registered theirs for food and beverages, where as I sell digital/ electronic goods. Will I have an issue? The name is exact, they just don’t have a website because I think its a café…
November 7, 2012 at 9:00 am #1110961Up::0It blows my mind why someone would want an iPad. I have been doing everything I can do on my pc conveniently on a tablet. I like how your office docs automatically sync to skydrive. I couldn’t find that pdf app? The pdf reader that comes preinstalled doesn’t let you print? And another pdf app I installed wouldn’t either…

Touchcover is awesome. It’s a bit strange going from Metro apps to desktop apps like Word and Excel but you get used to it. It sort of feels like Metro ‘crashed’.I have added my Exchange email accounts to the Metro Mail app, no dramas.
Before you go jumping on the ‘No Outlook’ bandwagon, remember iPad the main competitor doesnt have Outlook. The iPad has been distributed to corporate and business in the 100’s of thousands without issue.
For those that require Outlook there is the Surface Pro coming up or the myriad of devices coming with Windows 8. I have not used one yet, but I do like the Dell XPS 12 convertible tablet, and the HP slate 900 looks good. Both full x86 legacy application loving personal computers.
Having said that, I too am an avid Outlook user. Clunky or not it is the center of my business. The Surface RT forces you to use separate apps for Mail & Calender (just like the iPad). I do believe the Surface Pro and other full Win 8 devices will be a better fit for business users, and this is exactly how Microsoft has planned it. If you remind yourself the RT is an iPad equivalent with more productivity features thrown in you’ll be happy. A full workstation replacement it is not.
I agree 100% I’ve had the surface for over a day now (typing this post from it) ands its great! What is the pdf app that you are using as I also want to print pdf’s but not sure how?
