I wouldn’t knock redditt too much. They do have SUB-reddits that can help businesses and bloggers. Would you consider partnering with a blogger to ‘write’ about your biz, maybe get a review about products, or something more specific? maybe offer discounts for one hour a specific day? (it’s a recommendation for brick and mortar stores to use for ‘down’ times of sales). Lastly, did you ever check out a backlink study of Amazon? may find interesting new sites, and definitely do keep a list of ‘keywords’ from Amazon too. Just a few ideas.
I’d suggest doing back link research of any or related sites and competitors. Those links will show how, who, and what they’re doing. Visit their sites to analyze their keywords used in their descriptions. Keyword research will help ‘refine’ search strings being used to find xxxx product.I’d also subscribe to one or a few marketing blogs too. Some great information out there.
A ‘wall’ of text would STOP me from scrolling and bounce out. A post with short paragraphs, images and HEAD LINES will also help to keep a reader around. I’ve learned that some readers will ‘skim’ the post and if there’s a catchy head line to new paragraph that contains the ‘meat’ of the post, is the best style.
I have learned is that you must know your customer ‘profile’ aka as ‘avatar’ lately. Then you have to figure out where to find them. This is where social media platforms come into play, you know, FB, Instagram, etc. I’ve also found that doing a back link research of ‘competitors’ will reveal how and where they are promoting. This is where ‘tools’ such as Buzzsumo, Similarweb types of sites can do wonders. It takes work but you’ll find other sites too where you can ‘capture’ some clients too. Keep us informed with how it’s going. 🙂
