Behind the Business: katejer
I help Australian businesses share their stories, connect with customers and increase sales.
I do this by writing engaging content for websites, blogs, newsletters, emails, social posts, brochures, ads, press releases and lots more. I can also edit your communications so they’re grammatically correct, succinct, engaging and effective.
My copywriting goals
I’ve written on mortgages, real estate, finance, cleaning, small business, technology, payment systems, parenting, childcare, education, fashion, fitness, furniture, design, hairdressing, mental health, and lots more. As a copywriter, it’s my job to write persuasively for any business, audience or purpose. To achieve this, I’ll spend time getting to know your business, customers and industry before your project kicks off.
I hold a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from RMIT University. I’ve also completed some of Australia’s best copywriting and feature writing courses at Deakin University, The Australian Writers’ Centre and Copywrite Matters. Plus, I have more than 10 years’ communications experience for Australian and British corporates and not-for-profits.
My service is friendly, reliable, tailored and high quality.

We hired Kate to write a brand bio and sales pitch email for our handbag and accessories label, Dylan Kain. Before starting the project, Kate took the time to understand our brand, customers and needs. This thorough preparation meant she was able to nail the pieces on the first go. Not only is Kate a great copywriter, but she’s also an excellent project manager, which makes the whole process seamless. Kate’s passionate about providing an exceptional client experience, which is why we’ll continue to send all our copywriting Kate’s way.
— Hannah Smith - Production Manager, Dylan Kain
I have engaged Kate’s copywriting services for a number of content marketing pieces. Kate has produced quality content every time, whether given a prescriptive brief or freedom to develop the story. She has gone above and beyond to research our target audiences and industries, uncovering trending and relevant topics in which to write about. She ensures the content is not only well written but will attract readers also. Kate is a pleasure to deal with, with all content delivered in a timely and professional manner.
— Sarah Harbutt - Campaign Manager, Marketing Decisions
Kate’s written blogs for my parenting website, Kiddipedia. Every one of them has been well researched and written, with excellent attention to detail. As a busy small business owner, this is important as it means I don’t have to spend my limited free time editing. Better still, Kate’s articles have all been engaging and packed full of useful tips for our readers to take away. On a personal note, Kate’s been a pleasure to deal with. She’s friendly, responsive and reliable, and clearly, she loves what she does. Kate, thanks for all your fantastic work!
