With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing mental health issues each year, it's vital those of us working alone recognise the signals and take action early. After all, our livelihood depends on our productivity.

Having built an award-winning household brand, in 2011 Leanne Faulkner was diagnosed with depression triggered by extreme work pressure. Turning a breakdown into a breakthrough, today she is a passionate advocate for the improvement of mental health and wellbeing in the lives of Australian small business.

In this webinar, Leanne shares her personal story and in conversation with Robert Gerrish, explores the triggers and solutions to this crucial issue. Topics covered include:

  • Why might small business owners be at greater risk
  • Signs and symptoms to look out for in yourself and others
  • How to cope when business gets tough
  • Tips for looking after your mental health
  • Where to go for help and support

Meet your presenters:

In 2004 Leanne Faulkner founded Billie Goat Soap from her kitchen table and grew it into a highly successful skin care brand with 2000 retailers across Australia. As a successful entrepreneur she experienced all the intense highs and lows that come with building a business.
